The "Space Hulk" was a type of Super Dreadnought-class warship designed and used by the Robots. That kind of ship, known only by the nickname given to it by the Confederate Military personnel members, was the most powerful and the biggest model of warship ever built. The dreadful Space Hulks were always a terryfying sight on the battlefield, due to their ability to tore apart whole fleets in mere moments.
Those behemoths were eventually countered by the surprisingly successful Warmonger-class dreadnoughts, which could use their massive anti-matter cannons to deal severe damage in one hit. After the very final defeat of the Robots, there were no more operational Space Hulks left in the Velara Galaxy.
Like the vast majority of the Robots' ships, the Space Hulks were actually enormous androids. They were piloted by a legion of linked android brains, which controlled all of the systems. Thus, there was no need for actual crew. Due to that, Space Hulks hulls appeared stretched, skeletal and spiky, despite the heavy armor.
The warships were armed with miriads of pulse cannon batteries and proton missile launchers, giving each of them firepower of an entire fleet. Because of their sheer size and relatively low number of point-defense cannons, they were susceptible to massive starfighter strikes. However, they rarely operated solo, not allowing to gain any advantage over them.
The vessels possessed five giant thrusters configured in two isolate positions at the stern.
The Space Hulks did not possess any complement, due to the inability to board them. Under the thick plates of hypersteel armor there were only reactors, energy grids and various mechanisms.
