Malathon was a Striker-class medium cruiser of the Desparan Neosteel Armada, commanded by captain Ayla Deri.

History

The ship served as a part of the Desparan Neosteel Armada, the most powerful Confederate planetary defense starfleet. In 3120 its captain was Ayla Deri.

Malathon appeared in the proximity of the Solon Belt after the Third Desparan Space Patrol Team had appealed for help. Its commander ordered it to close in to the asteroids, but it remained outside of the belt. The cruiser was then prepared to board an obsole freighter, piloted by the sole survivor of the Desparan Militia taskforce, but en route the soldier decided to crash it on an asteroid, due to hostile presence on board the small vessel.
